"After a long day out absorbing the real rugged bushveld in its full glory at Lapalala, we came upon this herd of impala. The setting sun left its warm dappled streaks across the not-so-peaceful terrain. The tense stance of the impala was hyper-alert, scanning into the bushes... some predator was lurking. I painted the dry bushveld trees as forming part of the scene as dry nightmare creatures clawing themselves over the impala."
